About Blesbok

Working with select tanneries in the Karoo region, Okapi has pioneered the use of Blesbok leather. Blesbok leather is in keeping with our ethos as it is ethically and sustainably sourced as a by-product of the existing farming industry in South Africa. We work closely with our suppliers to ensure all processes are of the highest safety and quality, along with ethical production practices that respect both animal welfare and the environment. The natural markings that the animal incurs in the wild are included on the skins which are used. This adds to the uniqueness of each piece and is a deliberate inclusion in order to give a more organic and changeable quality.
